Another chance to win a prize !!!

Since I have responded to more than one of these posts I thought it was only fair to do another so here we go. If you don't want to give anything it's ok. Just comment and I will send you something (no limit) I love to see who is looking at my blog and you don't have to have a blog of your own.

Otherwise here are the rules:

The first 5 to respond to this win something from me! But...you have to do this:

Repost this to your own blog and offer the same thing to your first 5 responders.
The first 5 who repost it to their own blog will get something made by me! My choice. For you!
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make
2.What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year-no guarantees on when this year, but sometime in 2009!
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. the possibilities are endless.
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The first 5 people post this on their blog and leave a me comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun right?!? So let's PLAY!

The Doggy Door

We are still working on remodeling the laundry room of our home. We decided to put in a doggy door and fence in the little courtyard area right behind our house for the dogs. Well we COULDN'T get just a regular doggy door because Marty is paranoid about other animals comming in the house. So we had to get the kind that opens with the collar signal. The problem with that is Harry will NOT go through a door that is not opened for him, he will stand and whine at a door that is cracked open a bit if it isn't wide enough for him to walk through without touching his sides. lol So we bought this fancy door that they walk up to and it opens right up for them and closes behind them. Ingenious right? lol That is what you think...

They now stand at their door and hold it open for Scrapper. Scrapper is dad's cat. He lives in the big shed in the back and that is where he stayed until now...Harry and Bentley stand at the door until Scrapper walks in and they all eat dinner together. Then after he has explored all over he wants out. I just hope that they limit their dinner guests to the family mouser and don't start inviting in the local riffraff....coons, possums, rabbits, mice, other dogs...but who knows with our little socialites. So much for our fancy door.

Happy Valentines Day!

I started the day by running over to the church to help decorate. Then I ran to Tyson Mathews farewell party. It snowed during the night so Marty was up early shoveling walks down at the sites. He wasn't feeling well Friday and felt worse after the shoveling so he took a nap. At about 2pm the Adams invited us to Quincy to all-you-can-eat Chinese at our favorite "Best Buffet". He got right up and with a little help from me we were off.

We had decided not to go to the dance because Marty really wasn't feeling up to it but the Capeners called and said they were saving a seat for us so we threw ourselves together and went. It ended up being a great time. We didn't stay very long but I am so glad our ward does the "Winter Formal" because it is fun for the couples and it really brings the ward together.

We had a wonderful Valentines Day!!

Tyson Mathews is going to Boot Camp.

The Capeners and the Mathews had a big going away arty for Tyson on Valentines Day at the Adventure Zone. Tyson is headed to California to Boot Camp then he will be deployed to Afghanistan. Kim has mixed feelings about everything but Tyson is super excited.

Happy Birthday Sharon!

Yesterday was Aunt Sharon's 70th birthday. We took over some flowers and 7 cupcakes with 7 candles. One for every 10 years of her life. I didn't even get to see her yesterday because our schedules are so crazy but she came over today and said she had a wonderful day.

Deer Crossing the Frozen Water

Just as you are driving out of Nauvoo towards Keokuk there is a little bird sanctuary. The day today was really warm, in the 60's. I noticed the river was still frozen and all the ducks and geese were out laying in the sun. Then I noticed some deer out there too so I hurried and pulled over. I thought they were going to break through the ice. They did but the water isn't deep so it's ok. It is funny watching them trying to avoid getting their feet wet. When I was done watching them I started to pull out onto the highway and I realized there were a lot of cars behind me who had pulled over too. I wish I had a better camera AND a cleaner windshield. I would have climbed out of the car but I was close enough I didn't want to scare them.

Lacey had a Vollyball Tournament Today

Lacey played in a Vollyball tournament today. They only won one of their games but she had a great time.

At the Fudge Factory

Well the Fudge Factory is open again for the season and now Sage gets to work there too. Amber started working there last year and she absolutly loves it. The Neilsons are great to work for and It looked to me like Sage and Amber were having way too much fun.

Lacey's First Dance

Last night Lacey got to go to her first dance. The Jr High had a Valentines dance and it suprised me how many kids had dates. Lacey not only had no date she waited until she was 14 to attend her very first dance. :) I am a proud mom. They had a lot of fun and that's the way it should be.

Aren't these a cute bunch of girls? I think so!

My Crazy Kids!!!

Can I just say "I LOVE MY GIRLS!". They are great. They are best friends and when they are alone together with nothing to do they have a blast. There is nothing that they do that makes me happier. I am great friends with my sisters and I am so glad that my kids are friends too. I came across these pictures that they took when they were just goofing around together one day and I just had to BRAG!! They are GREAT.
