INDEPENDANCE DAY in Nauvoo

On the morning of the 4th we went down to the new "Sunset" stage and had a nice program and breakfast. There were a number of missionaries leaving to go home so they had an opportunity to bid farewell to all of their friends.
Their little skits and the things they said showed how much they enjoyed their missions here.

Some of them couldn't wait to get out of their pioneer costumes and head home. This couple did an onstage strip tease. lol
It was a great way to start the day.

My cousin, who must know your family, told me to check out your blog because there is a picture of my mother on it. She is the woman in redish/burgundyish dress with a hat. She is getting ready to come home from her mission in Nauvoo. Our family is coming down next week from WA state to visit. It will be a great time. It looks like a lot of fun.
