Labor Day in Nauvoo

Usually on Labor Day we, along with other members of our church, clean up the mess from Grape Festival that always ends the day before Labor Day. It's a tradition then afterwards we have a potluck barbecue at out house with anyone who wants to show up. Well this year because of Mom and Dad moving and just getting home from the funeral I didn't feel like doing much of anything. My yard was quite the jungle and Marty went back to work to make up for all the time he took off so the girls and I mowed and weeded and cleaned up our yard and Mom's. We started at 9am and didn't stop until about 6pm. I was so tired but it felt good and I wasn't thinking about stuff that makes me cry.

I felt really bad though. I heard that the turn out for city clean up was terrible, less than 1/2 of who normally shows up. Well I won't let that happen again...Next year the party is on and we'll do it bigger than ever!!! AFTER THE CLEAN UP!!! :) Everybody Welcome.
