Christmas Day!!!

Well Santa Clause made it to our house. He even found Luke!
We spent less $$Money$$ on Christmas this year than we ever have.
Because we were planning our trip to Utah and because we were trying to be obedient to the council of the leaders of our church.
Everyone was tickled with the simple things that they got. Make up, bath supplies, Lacey go a small amplifier and tuner for the electric Guitar she bought last summer. Sage got a "Water Baby" like the one she had when she was very young, Amber got lots of lotions, perfume and a manicure set. Luke got a very cool tiger book because he likes tigers. Marty got an electric shaver because his died a few years ago. and I got a really neat smelly vase thing because I love it when my house smells like cinnamon.
Then my kids surprised me with a mothers ring. It has a garnet for Sage, and Emerald for Amber and an Aquamarine for Lacey. I LOVE it!! It's white gold and I feel like I have been spoiled rotten this year.

We all got a pair of slipper boots from Santa full of little toys and candy. After we opened presents Amber made bacon and eggs for breakfast and I went and took a bath with my cool bath stuff. Then we cleaned up and took NAPS!!! We all just laid around all day and had the best lazy day ever!

I am so grateful for my family, even more when I see their generosity for each other and their gratitude for even the most simple things. We are very blessed and Christmas this year has reinforced to us the importance of Family, love and gratitude in our Heavenly Fathers plan.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

We had a "small" Christmas too but In fact when we put all of our Santa gifts out Christmas Eve, I was worried that the kids would be disappointed.(they didnt notice that it wasnt like years past and got me to wondering that maybe its ME who thinks they need a "big" Christmas and not the kids?. We talked in RS a few weeks ago about the true meaning of the holiday and someone said that we shouldnt feel "guilty" for not buying our kids EVERY gift they want. I thought they hit it the nail on the head right there! We tried really hard to make things simple and have our kids focus on the spirit of giving and true meaning of Chrismas. We spent less money than we ever had and I think it was one of the best Christmas we have EVER had! Im so glad that your family had a great holiday. Have a great New Year too!
