Relay for Life

On June 7th I was able to participate in the "Relay for Life" put on by the American Cancer Society in Carthage, Illinois. I was on the "State Bank of Nauvoo Striders" team. I am friends with quite a few of the ladies who work at the bank and one of them, Jackie, is a cancer survivor. I got involved because I am the Coordinator for the "Nauvoo Pageant" Concession Stand. The State Bank of Nauvoo team sends volunteers every year to help raise money. It sounded like they really have a ball so I told them I was interested in participatine in the relay and I have to say I had the time of my life. I can't wait to do it again next year.
