The river is rising in Old Nauvoo

The river is moving closer to the Joseph Smith homestead but I don't think an of the sites are in danger from the flood.

Water Street living up to it's name.
The other end of Water street where it meets Parley Street.
It's almost up to the statues.

The site of the old "Sunset by the Mississippi" Stage. I am glad they moved it. This area will soon be under water.
This fence runs down to the end of Parley Street. It is a four foot fence just to give you an idea of the depth.

Thank you for posting pictures. We were in Nauvoo two summers ago & have been worried sick about the historic sites.

My in-laws were serving as missionaries & you kept our kids so we could go to the temple one morning. Thanks again.

I guess I'm not the only one who found news and pictures about the flooding there in Nauvoo and was led to your blog. I was a performing missionary there last summer (2007) and have been sick about it; wondering how things will turn out and hoping everyone is safe. I also saw the pictures of the new "Sunset" stage and wanted to thank your family/your husband for all of the work to get that done. It's a beautiful stage! Thanks for keeping pictures and updates...it helps Nauvoo seem closer rather than far away.
