I went down to the concession stand to see what we have left to do before pageant starts. I took these pictures. This is the stage being set up.
A view of the stage from near the concession stand. Below our almost ready concession stand. We are going to have it up and running Thursday July 10th for dress rehearsal. We have talked about doing that every year because we have so many requests for food. In the past we have only sold water and pop on dress rehearsal night.
I finally have all of the volunteer sign up sheets to the different committee's and I am so relieved. I think that is the most stressful part of what I do. We cut back on a lot of volunteer hours because we do a lot of standing around on slow nights. This has been a great fund raiser for our community and it has built a lot of friendships that might not have existed otherwise. The funnest part of what I do is managing things every night and I am not even doing it this year. I did it the first year and third. Tacy Nelson did it the second year. Mom is going to do it this year. I think she is excited because next year she will be in Washington. We really do have a great time.
Bathrooms are up...VERY important. Ha Ha Ha
They are even putting up all the games and stuff. The whole area is buzzing with people getting things ready. I hope the weather stays like it has been, Warm days and cool nights. PERFECT. I still think it's going to be slow this year but that's ok it will still be fun.

you never think you're gonna miss it...and then you do...
oh jamie you can have the recipe for my dad's rolls anytime! just ask him and he'll explain everything in detail, call you three times while you are making them, and then fifteen mins after he calculates they should be out of the oven he'll call you to see how they turned out.
ps-i must say i feel greatly honored to have been mentioned in your blog.
You're going to sell "pop"? What will he think of that? Better get him some soda.
Or is Nauvoo carved out from the Illinois/Iowa/Missouri "soda" territory?
Lookin' great. I haven't heard from you in a while, now I see why. You have been busy!
