Saying Good-bye

We got up Saturday Morning and said good-bye. Mom and Dad are now going to live in Washington with Grandma and Grandpa. I know they are all going to have a blast but we are sure going to miss them. Mom and Dad drove us to the airport and we home around midnight sometime, I was too tired to pay much attention. I am glad to be home but I sure had a lot of fun being gone.

Friday September 26th - Last night in Washington

We went to Aunt Sharons house. Randy, Dorrell, and Sheri all came with their families for a visit and some wonderful dessert. It was a great way to end a wonderful day.

Sheri announced to everyone she is expecting a new baby. I am so excited for her!

Near Fort Ebey on Whidbey Island

We hurried over to a lookout near Fort Ebey because we saw a submarine heading out with its escorts. Usually they go this direction but it disappointed us and headed off the other way. I am so glad we went though. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Sage and Lynn sat don on the side of the cliff and she said the wind just disappeared. She said it was scary but very cool. I think if I had tried it I would have rolled all the way down the mountain. lol

Mom and Dad watching the submarine.

Real Life Halo - Exploring Fort Casey

Exploring Fort Casey

Sage liked Fort Casey the most. She said it reminds her of "Halo". She was all over the place exploring. It was a lot of fun.

Deception Pass

Next we went to Deception Pass. It is so beautiful there. The tide was coming in so the water was really churning. We walked across the bridge on one side and then crossed under it and back again. It's a LONG way across.
Lynn and Mom reading about the Pass.

It's windy up here.

A long way down!

Mom and Sage

Sage is standing by the rail. It's a big old bridge and this is only half of it.

Friday September 26th - Washington Park, Fildalgo Island

Lynn took us out near to the place he goes crabbing. We posed for a few shots by this cool tree.

Then Lynn took sage down to the tide pools and showed her all sorts of creatures that live there.
Mom, Dad and Sharon waited while we explored. It was such a beautiful place.
Here is what we found under the rocks.

After exploring for a while we went back up to the car and my uncle Lynn told mom he found her some cool rocks. Mom loves cool rocks for her fountain in Nauvoo so she got excited and held out her hand. Lynn proceeded to drop a handful of 9 or 10 of those little crabs into her hand. Mom screamed and screamed and little crabs scrambled all over forever lost in the back seat of moms van. The moral of this story is...I don't know but mom grew up with this guy teasing her and yet she STILL opens her hand up for his surprises. Poor mom....no wait! Lynn is moving next door to ME!!!

Wednesday September 25th - Visiting with Family

Lynn and Sharon and the girls, Janice and Sherri, came over to visit. Sherri brought her husband and son and her two stepkids over. We had a fun night. I stayed up past midnight visiting with Janice.

There's Lynn always joking. Actually he was in a lot of pain he had been at the dentist all day and they really roughed him up so the fact he was joking just shows how important joking around is to Lynn. He has one more appointment and he is ready for his mission. Sharon got the all clear too now they just have to wait to hear the date thay can leave.

Blue Jay's and Big Trees

I woke up this morning and there were about 7 or 8 bluejays out the front window. I scared them off trying to get my camera and after that I could only catch 1, 2, or 3 at a time. It was still very cool.
we went out with mom and dad to run some errands and mom took us to see this tree stump. It's hard to imagine trees that are this big around. Very cool.

Grandma and Grandpa's backyard buddies

My Uncle Lynn walked up to me and signaled to me to follow him. This little guy was standing right out past the patio. He just sat looking at me. I pulled out my camera and started taking pictures, all along thinking "he's going to run away" but he didn't.

he walked up and around where I could get a closer look at him and just posed for me while I snapped picture after picture.

He is so sweet and fuzzy. I just wanted to run over and hug him. He sure didn't seem very afraid.
Then his mama walked over and got him. She wasn't sure what to think about us, but she didn't seem all to worried either, just more cautious.

So they walked away into the woods. It turns out that I see them all the time. Five or six times a day. I love it. Grandma and Grandpa don't love them because they eat out of their garden a lot. I think I would plant a garden just for them. Mom and Dad will help keep them out of the garden, but for now I get to enjoy the little guy. He's my friend. lol

Unloading the Truck

Today we unloaded the truck. It was tied down just as tight as it was when Marty first secured it. Nobody can say Marty doesn't know how to secure a load. This thing made it half way across the country and nothing is flapping.

It was a chore to untie, but worth it to have everything safe and dry.

Well except the pocket of water dad found. Brrrrr that was COLD!

Sage got on top and helped untie the straps.

Labor supervisors!! Ya gotta have them.

Here comes the heavy stuff!
We took the bed from upstairs down to make a guest suite for company downstairs. Then moved mom and dad's stuff into the upstairs bedroom. Wow they have a lot of stuff.
Taking down shelves in the room mom and dad are moving into.
Well there is a lot more to do but it's time for a nap.
